CNA reported on a "consulting" website that was seeking former Singaporean diplomats
The Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Jade Chan, who was listed on the website of the purported Singaporean consulting firm Great Vision as a former diplomat, never worked for the ministry. According to Channel NewsAsia, the website also listed job openings that gave preference to candidates with experience at the Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the ASEAN Secretariat, EU institutions, or international think tanks.
Chan’s biography claimed that she had worked at Singapore’s diplomatic missions in Jakarta, Hanoi, and Brussels, served as an advisor to the ASEAN Secretariat, and held a Ph.D. from the London School of Economics. CNA found no LinkedIn or social media profiles that matched this information. The publication also contacted the London School of Economics and the ASEAN Secretariat to verify the claimed connections to Chan.
Great Vision did not list an address or phone number on its website. Emails sent to the address listed on the site were returned due to an inability to connect to the domain’s server. In another job posting, the organization was seeking an intelligence and research analyst, giving preference to candidates with experience at Singaporean think tanks, particularly RSIS, and requested that applicants submit samples of their work.

CNA reviewed nine suspicious websites. Only Great Vision explicitly stated that it preferred candidates with experience working at Singaporean institutions. Four websites, including Great Vision and Global Asia Think Tank, claimed to have ties to Singaporean institutions. The country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that it did not endorse Global Asia, called the claims made by both websites a misrepresentation of the facts, and demanded that they remove the false references to the ministry.
Global Asia also claimed to collaborate with the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy and the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies. Representatives of both institutions denied any ties to the organization. According to CNA, a photo purportedly showing a Global Asia seminar at the Lee Kuan Yew School was generated using OpenAI’s image-generation model on June 26—eight days after the event’s stated date.
Experts interviewed by CNA noted that interest in former Foreign Ministry employees may indicate a desire to gain access to professional contacts, knowledge, or an understanding of how government agencies operate. At the same time, the publication found no evidence that all of the verified websites are controlled by a single operator.
