Putin and Kabayeva's children are being raised by dozens of foreign nannies
Journalists from the "System" project have published an investigation into the alleged sons of Vladimir Putin and Alina Kabaeva, who are being raised by foreign nannies in secluded residences in Russia.
According to the investigators, there are two children:
— Ivan Spiridonov, born in 2015 at the Sant’Anna Clinic in Lugano, Switzerland;
— Vladimir Spiridonov, born in 2019 in Moscow.
The Kremlin does not officially acknowledge Putin’s relationship with Kabayeva or the existence of these children.
Journalists claim that the boys live in complete isolation at residences in Valdai and Sochi and have almost no contact with their peers. More than 20 foreign teachers and tutors from the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Ireland, South Africa, and New Zealand have been brought in to educate and teach them.
The investigation notes that the children are taught using European methods, with a primary focus on intensive foreign language study and development through play-based activities.
“As early as 2018, three-year-old Ivan studied English and German every day and also took music lessons,” the report states.
Investigators also published the terms of the contracts for teachers. The documents explicitly prohibit discussion of politics, religion, and topics related to LGBT issues.
“Under no circumstances should topics related to LGBT be discussed,” one of the contracts states.
According to journalists, in January 2026 alone, three foreign nannies were paid approximately 3.5 million rubles.
Following U.S. President Donald Trump, Vladimir Putin arrived in China for a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
During his visit to China, Vladimir Putin had hoped to secure Beijing’s approval for the construction of a new large-scale gas pipeline, but the negotiations ended without a result.
