Donald Trump threatened Iran with a devastating strike if it retaliated against U.S. attacks

U.S. President Donald Trump announced plans to launch large-scale strikes against Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps facilities near the Strait of Hormuz

According to him, this military operation was a response to Iran’s attempt to lay sea mines in the strait, as well as to a missile attack on a U.S. base in Jordan, during which all eight missiles fired were successfully intercepted.

The U.S. leader warned Tehran against attempting to retaliate, stressing that any response would lead to an even larger U.S. military operation. Trump added that in the event of further escalation, the United States would launch the most powerful strike, which would have catastrophic consequences for the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Meanwhile, the U.S. military is launching new strikes against targets in Iran amid the resumption of hostilities following a month of no military activity.

The British Maritime Trade Operations Agency (UKMTO) reported another attack on an oil tanker near the exit of the Strait of Hormuz. The incident occurred approximately 30 km off the coast of Oman.
