Duane Davis found guilty of organizing Tupac Shakur’s murder

A Las Vegas jury found 63-year-old former gang leader Duane “Keffe D” Davis guilty of organizing the murder of hip-hop artist Tupac Shakur. As Deutsche Welle English reports, the jury reached its verdict in less than three hours.

An unsolved case

The case of Shakur’s death remained unsolved for nearly 30 years. Jurors in Las Vegas found Davis guilty of organizing the musician’s murder.

Shakur’s death

Tupac Shakur was wounded in a drive-by shooting on September 7, 1996. Six days later, he died in hospital at the age of 25.

Shakur was an award-winning rap artist, activist and actor. More than 75 million of his records were sold worldwide, many of them after the artist’s death.
