An emigrant from Ukraine was killed in Israel by a Hezbollah drone strike
On Monday, June 1, Israel will hold a funeral for Mykhailo Tyukin, who was tragically killed in an explosion caused by a drone launched by the terrorist group Hezbollah.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Embassy in Israel.
The funeral service will begin at 5:00 p.m. at the military cemetery in Ashkelon. The deceased’s friends and family are calling on all concerned individuals and members of the Ukrainian community to come and pay their respects to the fallen.
Mykhailo immigrated to Israel from Ukraine in 2020 with his mother, who was his only close family and support. Holding citizenship of both countries, he embodied the connection between two nations that today suffer most from large-scale manifestations of international terrorism. His life was taken by weapons originating from the so-called global “Axis of Evil”—the Lebanese “Hezbollah” is fully funded and supplied by Iran, which is a key military ally of Russia and provides the aggressor state with similar lethal technologies to strike peaceful Ukrainian cities.
This tragedy once again underscores the common threats faced by Ukraine and Israel in confronting global threats. The death of Mykhailo Tyukin is yet another reminder to the international community of the need for the entire civilized world to consolidate its efforts to the maximum extent possible in order to resolutely counter the financing of terrorist regimes, stop bloody attacks on sovereign states, and put an end to the aggression of the “Axis of Evil.” May Mykhailo rest in eternal and peaceful memory.
The Lebanese group “Hezbollah” has begun actively using a new type of fiber-optic-controlled FPV drones, adopting tactics that are being widely used during the war in Ukraine.
Prior to this, the “Hezbollah” group announced a series of attacks on Israeli military targets, specifically air defense systems. According to the militants, dozens of strikes were carried out over the course of a day.
Prior to this, Hezbollah militants reported a strike on a battery of Israel’s “Iron Dome” air defense system. According to their reports, an FPV drone was used for the attack.
