Erdogan has stated his willingness to arrange a meeting between Zelenskyy and Putin
Turkey is ready to facilitate direct talks between Ukraine and Russia, including a possible summit between the two leaders.
This was stated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Interfax reports.
“We still believe that the war will end through the negotiation process… Turkey is ready to support all steps that contribute to the continuation of direct negotiations,” he said.
Erdogan added that this also includes a possible meeting between Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Putin, if both sides are ready.
Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga confirmed that Kyiv is ready for talks at the leadership level with the participation of Turkey and, likely, the United States.
Ukraine has expressed its readiness to hold a meeting between President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin in Turkey, but with the participation of two other world leaders.
