He stated that he does not know who might be behind the attack, does not link it to his son’s case, and thanked the presidents of Ukraine and France for their support.

In a conversation with the French newspaper Nice-Matin, he said he had no theories about who might have organized the attack and did not want to interfere with the investigation. According to Yermolayev, a criminal investigation is currently underway, so any public speculation could only complicate the work of law enforcement. “No, I don’t know that. A criminal investigation is underway, and under these circumstances, I prefer not to comment on various hypotheses or specific details of the case,” the businessman said.
He emphasized that he is deliberately refraining from making any speculations. “At this stage, any publicly expressed hypothesis could complicate the investigators’ work. I do not want to speculate or interfere in any way with the course of the investigation,” Yermolayev explained.
Separately, journalists asked him whether the assassination attempt could be linked to the case involving his son Artur, who was convicted in Estonia in a case related to the Milton Group fraud scheme and a network of call centers.
Yermolayev replied that he sees no reason to link the two incidents. “Like any father, it is, of course, very difficult for me to come to terms with the fact that my son is facing serious legal problems. But Artur is an adult. He lives his own life, and I see no reason to link his case to the attack of which I was a victim,” the businessman noted.
He added that, to the best of his knowledge, the investigation also lacks any evidence pointing to such a connection. According to Yermolayev, he agreed to give the interview because he considers this case very serious and wants to assist the investigation as much as possible.
During the conversation, the businessman also expressed his gratitude to the people who supported him after the assassination attempt. “I would also like to sincerely thank His Serene Highness Prince Albert II, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron for their support, for their attention to this case, and for their contribution to the efforts aimed at fully clarifying what happened,” he said.
Yermolayev reported that he is currently continuing his treatment. If his recovery proceeds as planned, doctors may discharge him within the next few weeks. After his recovery, the businessman plans to continue living in Monaco. He also stated that he considers the decision to include him on the Ukrainian sanctions list to be erroneous.
French law enforcement agencies are currently continuing to investigate the circumstances of the explosion and are identifying individuals who may be involved in the attack.
