NAZA film planned for free online release in November — Jerusalem Post
Israeli outlet The Jerusalem Post reported that director Yuval Abraham announced a free online release of the documentary NAZA in November. According to him, he made this decision together with fellow director Rachel Shore and a producer at The Guardian because of public interest in the film.
Abraham also said that Israeli cinemas had been offered the opportunity to screen the film free of charge. He expressed hope that in the coming weeks audiences would be able to see NAZA both in cinemas and online.
Release in more than 50 countries
NAZA debuted at the Venice Film Festival earlier this month. According to The Guardian, the film is planned for theatrical release in more than 50 countries, and its North American premiere is set to take place at the New York Film Festival.

The film concerns claims that Israel's military operations caused systematic mass civilian casualties. Abraham said that acknowledging atrocities in Gaza, in his view, does not diminish the mass killing on October 7, for which he placed responsibility on Hamas and which, he said, has no justification.
Rally near Lincoln Center
The Israeli-American Council said it intends to hold a rally near Lincoln Center in New York, where a screening of NAZA is scheduled. The organization plans to show excerpts from the video compilation October 7: Bearing Witness to the Massacre, which contains footage of the October 7 attack, as well as materials that, according to the IAC, contradict claims made in the film.
The council also launched a petition calling for screenings of the film to be supplemented with panels featuring testimony from people who survived the October 7 attack, as well as additional context. Meanwhile, according to N12, a representative of the Israel Defense Forces attended a screening of the film in Bologna after unsuccessful attempts to obtain a copy of it. The military are reportedly preparing a document listing the claims made in the film and are considering possible response steps.
