A protest took place in the Armenian capital near the Russian Embassy against Moscow’s possible interference in the country’s internal political processes and the upcoming elections.

Russian opposition activists staged a performance: participants wearing Vladimir Putin masks staged a symbolic “dinner” at a table with raw meat, which, according to them, reflects the image of the Russian government with “hands up to the elbows in blood.”

According to their information, a closed-door event involving Russian officials and diplomats was taking place at the embassy at the same time.

The action was presented as a protest against Russia’s potential influence on Armenia’s elections and internal affairs.

Earlier, Reuters, citing sources in Western intelligence, reported that Vladimir Putin plans to transfer about 100,000 Russian Armenians from Russia to Armenia so they can vote against Nikol Pashinyan. It is alleged that about $50 million is planned to be spent on this.

In addition, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan stated that Armenia’s accession to the EU poses risks for them and called for a referendum to be held there.
