France has frozen the assets of Ksenia Fedorova, a former RT France employee
French authorities have frozen the assets of Ksenia Fedorova, the former head of RT France, for six months; she is accused of spreading Russian propaganda and disinformation.
The decision was made by the French ministers of the interior and economy under the law on preventing foreign interference.
The freeze applies to all of Fedorova’s funds and economic resources, as well as to the assets of companies and entities she controls. In addition, during this period, it is prohibited to provide her or organizations associated with her with any financial or material resources.
Earlier, the French Ministry of the Interior decided to expel Fedorova from the country. She is currently under administrative supervision in Paris and is required to report to the police daily. Fedorova herself and her lawyer are challenging the French authorities’ actions in court.
