Ghana and Burkina Faso deepen cooperation in human capital and AI
Ghana and Burkina Faso are deepening cooperation in public administration, human capital development and technology. The cooperation was highlighted in Ghana during the tenth and first international HR CAFÉ 2026 forum, dedicated to the future of work, artificial intelligence and the exchange of administrative experience between the two countries.
Digital rules for public institutions
Deputy Chief of Staff Nana Oye Bampoe Addo said that the government is developing guidelines on the use of social media and digital presence for public institutions and government appointees. According to her, these rules are intended to establish clear standards for official conduct online.
She also stated that the government had conducted a technical review of digital governance and website management guidelines. This is part of efforts to strengthen coordination between ministries and state agencies, MyJoyOnline reports.
Educational exchanges and AI ethics
Burkina Faso’s ambassador to Ghana, David Kabré, said that his country is pursuing industrialization and is seeking technical and human resources support from Ghana. According to him, Ghana’s relative advantage in technical human resources creates opportunities for closer cooperation in education and skills development.

Kabré also mentioned possible exchanges involving teachers, students and technical specialists. In his view, such interaction will contribute to Burkina Faso’s industrialization and strengthen bilateral relations.
The Commandant of the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre, Air Vice Marshal David Anetey Akrong, called on institutions to combine technological innovation with ethical standards and accountability. He emphasized the need for safeguards concerning ethics, data protection and the responsible use of artificial intelligence, which should enhance human capabilities and institutional efficiency rather than simply replace people.
HR CAFÉ 2026 is expected to become a platform for exchanging experience, strengthening technical cooperation and seeking innovative approaches to human capital development and the transformation of the public sector.
