CEO of MAB International Hospital wins Forty Under 40 award in Ghana — MyJoyOnline
In Accra, Ghana, MAB International Hospital Chief Executive Officer Opare Akuama-Boateng became a winner at the 10th anniversary Forty Under 40 Ghana Awards ceremony. He received the distinction for leadership and contributions to the hospital’s development, MyJoyOnline reports.
Akuama-Boateng began his career at MAB International Hospital as a property management manager and later became the medical facility’s chief executive officer. The award was presented at a ceremony at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel in Accra, held as part of events marking the award’s 10th anniversary.
Awards for young professionals
The ceremony brought together winners, their families and other interested participants. A total of 44 people received awards in various categories, while another 16 were recognized with honorary awards for their contribution to the development of the award over the past decade.

The Forty Under 40 Ghana Awards is an annual initiative recognizing professionals, entrepreneurs, business leaders and other people under the age of 40 who contribute to their fields. The award covers banking and finance, energy, agriculture, technology, family business, fashion, media and social entrepreneurship.
Development of the initiative
Dr. Marian Bokor, chief executive officer of Premier EL Consult, received the People’s Choice Award. Richard Abbey Jr., founder of the Forty Under 40 Awards and chief executive officer of Xodus Communications Limited, called the 10th anniversary an important milestone for the initiative.
According to Abbey, the project has expanded beyond Ghana through Forty Under 40 Africa and Forty Under 40 Global, and its programs have included South Africa, the United Kingdom and the United States, among other countries. He also stated that the initiative has more than 600 alumni and about 200 winners and has featured more than 2,000 nominees.
