The foreign ministers of the G7 countries have begun a working session in France

The first working session of the G7 foreign ministers' meeting has begun in France, focusing on resolving international crises, supporting Ukraine, and reforming global governance.

This was reported by Ukrinform

To coordinate initiatives in the field of peace and security, the organizers chose an expanded format, inviting representatives from Ukraine, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, South Korea, and India to participate. The agenda covers three areas: conflict resolution in various regions of the world, reconstruction, and combating cross-border threats.

Participants will pay special attention to issues related to Ukraine’s recovery, particularly with the participation of Odile Renaud-Basso, President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. Discussions are expected on plans for the reconstruction and financing of work at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. This meeting is a preparatory step for the June summit of heads of state and government in Evian. The events are taking place as part of France’s diplomatic cycle as chair of the G7, with the aim of coordinating common positions on key contemporary challenges.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio will visit the French city of Cerne-la-Ville on March 27, 2026, to participate in a G7 ministerial meeting

Beijing will also temporarily lift restrictions on Marco Rubio to allow him to participate in Trump’s visit.
