Greece and Bahrain discuss regional security in Athens — Anadolu Agency
Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa discussed regional developments and security issues during a meeting in Athens on Friday, Anadolu Agency reports.
Security and the regional situation
According to a statement from the Greek prime minister’s office, regional developments were one of the key topics of the talks. At the start of the meeting, Mitsotakis said that developments in the region gave the leaders much to discuss.
Mitsotakis also described Greece’s approach as seeking stability and dialogue while maintaining close relations with the countries of the Persian Gulf and the wider region.

Investment cooperation
The sides also considered opportunities to strengthen bilateral economic cooperation, particularly in investment. Mitsotakis stressed the importance of strengthening relations with Bahrain by increasing investment in both countries.
According to him, Greece and Bahrain have made progress in bilateral relations in recent years, but can do more, primarily in the investment sector.
