The vessel, named “Sanmar Herald” and flying the Indian flag, was attacked on Saturday. It was carrying crude oil and was transiting the strait as part of its regular route.
Despite the incident, the crew was unharmed, and the vessel remained operational. The situation was brought under control without further consequences. The Indian side has already responded to the incident—the Iranian ambassador to India was summoned to provide explanations regarding the attack.

Additionally, Iran has partially reopened its airspace, allowing international flights to pass through the eastern part of the country.
