Iran launched a drone attack on Kuwait's airport, causing a massive fire
Iranian drones struck fuel tanks at Kuwait International Airport, causing a massive fire.
Al Jazeera reported this, citing official sources.
Abdullah Al-Rajhi, a spokesperson for Kuwait’s General Administration of Civil Aviation, stated that the airport had suffered “brazen drone attacks from Iran and the armed groups it supports.”
According to him, the strikes were aimed specifically at the fuel tanks, which led to a major fire. Emergency services were on the scene. Property was damaged as a result of the incident, but there were no casualties.
Meanwhile, Bahrain’s Ministry of Interior reported that civil defense units were “extinguishing a fire at a facility belonging to one of the companies, which broke out as a result of Iranian aggression.”
“The relevant authorities are taking the necessary measures at the scene,” the ministry stated, without disclosing details about the affected facility.
A strike on a vessel was also recorded approximately 32 kilometers north of Ras Laffan, Qatar’s industrial hub. Last month, this region—which is key to gas production—was already hit by a missile attack from Iran.
Qatar’s Ministry of Defense reported that the country was targeted by three cruise missiles, one of which struck an oil tanker chartered by QatarEnergy. Two missiles were intercepted. The 21-member crew was evacuated; there were no casualties.
In the United Arab Emirates, debris from a downed drone fell on a farm in the Al-Rifa’a area of Fujairah. A Bangladeshi citizen was killed as a result, the WAM news agency reported.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabian authorities announced the interception and destruction of several drones. No details on casualties have been provided.
The U.S. and Iran have yet to reach an agreement, even after a new round of negotiations.
