Ireland Steps Up Security Measures Ahead of Trump's Visit – BBC
Ireland is launching one of the largest law enforcement operations in the country’s history in connection with U.S. President Donald Trump’s two-day visit.
Under the special security measures put in place, police officers will work 10,000 12-hour shifts from Friday through Sunday, and two water cannons have been brought into the country from Northern Ireland. Trump will arrive at Dublin Airport on the morning of Saturday, September 12, which will result in traffic restrictions in the capital and County Clare.
During his visit, the U.S. president will meet with Irish President Catherine Connolly and Prime Minister Micheál Martin, deliver a speech at the residence of U.S. Ambassador Edward Walsh, and will also attend the Irish Open tournament at his golf club in Dunbeg. The U.S. president is scheduled to fly back to the United States on Sunday evening from Shannon Airport.

Back in the U.S., Trump promised $5,000 to every adult in the event of a Republican victory.
