Israel has carried out new airstrikes in southern Lebanon

On the morning of April 28, the Israeli Air Force reportedly struck a target near the village of Zautar al-Sharqiya in southern Lebanon, approximately 8 km from the border with Israel. 

This was reported by the Lebanese TV channel Al-Mayadeen, which is linked to Hezbollah.

According to local sources, airstrikes were also recorded overnight in the areas of Jabal al-Batim and Kalili in the south of the country.

“On the morning of April 28, the IDF Air Force attacked a target in the area of the village of Zautar al-Sharqiya, in southern Lebanon, approximately 8 km from the Israeli border,” the report states.

At this time, the Israel Defense Forces have not officially commented on these reports.

Information regarding the possible targets and consequences of the strikes is currently being verified.

Earlier, the IDF stated that it had struck targets belonging to the Hezbollah group in Lebanon. This was in response to a rocket attack on the northern border town of Shula carried out by the group during the night.
