Kazakhstan has begun naval exercises in the Caspian Sea
On Friday, the Kazakhstani Navy began scheduled exercises in its sector of the Caspian Sea.
“Scheduled exercises by the Navy of the Armed Forces have begun in the Kazakh sector of the Caspian Sea. The crews will have to traverse the entire water area of the Kazakh sector, practice maneuvers under various conditions, and conduct live-fire exercises,” according to a statement from the Defense Ministry.
It is noted that the exercises will take place in three stages. Sailors will practice coordination between ships, navigation and communications, ship handling, and the use of weapons. Special attention will be paid to the crews’ operations at a considerable distance from the coast.
According to Captain 1st Rank Arman Satkanov, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Navy for Combat Training, the exercises will focus particularly on further improving the crews’ practical skills.
“During the training exercise, the crews will conduct live-fire exercises using the ships’ weapons and practice joint operations. The tasks will become more complex as the exercise progresses, and additional units will join the exercises,” the Ministry of Defense noted.
It is emphasized that the exercises are designed to test the readiness of ship crews to carry out missions under various conditions.

Kazakhstan did not supply Russia with gasoline in accordance with the allocated quotas.
According to Ukraine’s Foreign Intelligence Service, Russian gasoline shipments to Central Asia and Afghanistan have fallen by 34%, while jet fuel shipments have dropped by 90%. Against this backdrop, Kazakhstani refineries were in no hurry to direct additional volumes of their own production to the Russian market.
Earlier, the SBU uncovered a network of call centers used to recruit drug dealers in Kazakhstan.
