Houthis Attacked Marib and Al-Mah: Four Dead
The Yemeni Houthi movement launched missile and drone strikes overnight on the city of Marib and the coastal city of Al-Mahah on the Red Sea coast. Four people were killed and eight others were wounded in the attacks, Al Jazeera reported, citing state media and the director of Al-Maha Airport.
On Sunday, one of the strikes hit the outskirts of Al-Maha, and the main road in the city was also attacked. Operations at the government-controlled port of Al-Maha have already been suspended due to a series of strikes over the past few days. This was announced on Saturday by the facility’s general director, Abdulmalik al-Sharabi.
According to the Marib authorities’ media office, on Saturday evening, the Houthis fired six ballistic missiles at residential neighborhoods in the city and deployed four drones. They reported four people wounded, as well as damage to residential buildings and civilian infrastructure.

For their part, Yemeni military officials stated that on Saturday and Sunday they carried out 181 operations against Houthi positions in several provinces. They claim that dozens of Houthi members were killed or wounded as a result of these operations. The Houthis reported the deaths of four of their members, without specifying the circumstances.
Since April 2022, the intensity of hostilities in Yemen has relatively decreased. The war between government forces and the Houthis has been ongoing for nearly 12 years; the movement has controlled the capital, Sana’a, and other cities and provinces since September 2014. Earlier this month, the Houthis attacked military camps in Marib and Hadramaut, killing at least 30 government soldiers. Following this, fighting also resumed in the provinces of Al-Jawf, Ad-Dali, and Taiz.
