China has called the U.S. blockade of the Strait of Hormuz an irresponsible move
China criticized U.S. actions to block the Strait of Hormuz and called for the resumption of normal shipping.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry stated that the increased U.S. military presence and blockade operations only exacerbate the situation and heighten tensions in the region.
According to ministry spokesperson Gao Jikun, such actions undermine the ceasefire agreements that have been reached.
China called on all parties to observe the ceasefire and focus on diplomatic negotiations.
Beijing also emphasized that the blockade harms international shipping and regional stability.
At the same time, the Chinese side did not comment on Iran’s actions, which also affect the safety of shipping in the strait.
As a reminder, any U.S. warships will be sunk if they attempt to block Iranian ports.
The United States and Iran continue to engage in negotiations, as both sides seek a diplomatic solution to the conflict.
