China opens four new high-speed rail sections — ECNS
China opened four major high-speed railway sections to traffic on Monday, which are expected to improve transport links between several regions of the country. This was reported by ECNS.
New railway connections
One of the new sections connected Xiong'an in Hebei Province with Shangqiu in Henan Province. Another section connected Xi'an and Ankang in Shaanxi Province.
Connections were also opened between Yichang and Xingshan in Hubei Province, as well as between Harbin and Yichun in Heilongjiang Province. Thus, the new sections covered several parts of the country.

Regions covered
The new railway sections are located in northern, northwestern, central and northeastern China. The report notes that they are expected to make travel easier for residents, improve links between regions and support economic development.
