China pledges continued support for UN Security Council — Anadolu Agency

In New York, United States, Chinese Vice President Han Zheng told UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres that Beijing will continue to support the UN Security Council in fulfilling its primary responsibility for maintaining international peace and security. The meeting took place on September 26 on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, Anadolu Agency reports.

According to the Chinese state agency Xinhua, Han Zheng described the current international situation as full of turmoil. According to him, the international system with the UN at its center faces numerous challenges.
