China urges US to lift sanctions against its companies and citizens
According to ECNS, on September 3, a spokesperson for China’s Ministry of Commerce said that China strongly condemns and firmly opposes the United States’ repeated sanctions against Chinese companies and individuals over allegedly Iran-related issues.
China’s position
The statement was made by ministry spokesperson Huang Ling during a regular briefing. According to him, Beijing believes that unilateral US sanctions improperly interfere with normal economic and trade exchanges between the relevant countries.

Huang Ling also said that such steps seriously undermine global energy security and the stability of supply chains.
Call to lift sanctions
China called on Washington to immediately correct what Beijing described as a wrongful practice and lift sanctions against the relevant Chinese companies and individuals. The ministry spokesperson added that China will firmly protect the legitimate rights and interests of its companies and citizens.
