Kazakhstan’s consul in China calls for intensified contacts between representative bodies of the two countries
Nurlan Akkoshkarov, Kazakhstan’s consul general in Shanghai, said that Kazakhstan and China could intensify contacts between the legislative bodies and people’s representatives of the two countries. The diplomat said this in an interview during an event in Shanghai, China.
Visit to the municipal assembly
As ECNS reports, foreign diplomatic representatives were invited to visit the Shanghai Municipal People’s Congress. The visit took place as part of the event “Exploring People-Oriented Cities: China’s Governance and Global Engagement (Shanghai and Jiangsu),” organized by China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to the outlet, participants in the event learned about the achievements of Shanghai’s urban governance practices. The event was dedicated to the topics of urban governance and international engagement.
Cooperation between Shanghai and Almaty
Akkoshkarov noted that during a year of work in his post, he had personally observed Shanghai’s healthy and rapid development. He expressed hope that the status of Shanghai and Almaty as sister cities would help strengthen exchanges between the legislative bodies and people’s representatives of Kazakhstan and China.
