Kozha will visit the Gulf countries

European Council President António Costa will visit the Gulf region on April 14–15, where he will hold meetings with the leaders of the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar.

This was reported on the European Council’s website.

As noted, the leaders will discuss recent events in Iran and the broader region, as well as exchange views on ways to ensure lasting regional and global security.

Koshta will once again express the EU’s solidarity with the countries of the Gulf region and emphasize the EU’s commitment to promoting de-escalation and supporting diplomatic efforts, the press service reports.

“Our priority and focus are on cooperating with our Gulf partners to ensure regional stability and protect our civilians and interests. Lasting peace can only be achieved through negotiations and diplomacy, primarily led by those in the region,” Costa said.

On April 14, the President of the European Council will meet with the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in Abu Dhabi, and with the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, in Jeddah.

On April 15, in Doha, Costa will be received by the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

The EU must be ready to negotiate with Russia instead of the US — Koshta.

Ukraine has accepted EU aid to repair the Druzhba pipeline.

As a reminder, a meeting of the “energy Ramstein” on aid to Ukraine took place in Brussels.

Earlier, Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko reported that a meeting of the so-called “Energy Ramstein” is planned for the next two weeks. The main topic is how to prepare the country for the upcoming heating season and strengthen the energy resilience of the regions.

Ukraine has also received nearly two thousand units of energy equipment from international partners.
