Lavrov warned Britain, threatening it with consequences for participating in the war against Russia
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov expressed yet another expression of dissatisfaction with London’s actions after learning that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were allegedly using British drones during strikes against Russia.
Commenting on Russian propagandists’ claims that Ukraine is using British weapons, Lavrov stated that Russia allegedly has the right to respond if it believes its interests or property are being harmed.
“You know, I feel sorry for Britain if it fights to the very end,” the Russian minister said.
According to him, Moscow may view the direct involvement of British missile forces in strikes against Russian territory as Britain’s participation in the war.
“We also have the right to regard this proudly announced direct involvement of British missile forces in strikes against the Russian Federation as participation in the war, with all the consequences that entails,” Lavrov stated.
As a reminder, British Prime Minister Andy Burnham stated that London will continue to fully support Ukraine in the war against Russia, despite threats from Moscow.
Russia accused the United Kingdom of “escalating the Ukrainian crisis” after it was confirmed that British-made drones were being used to strike targets on Russian territory.
