Lukashenko is sending 500 freeloaders to the border with Ukraine
About 500 Belarusian agricultural workers, whose work the country’s authorities deemed unscrupulous, have been sent to a two-month military training camp. The training will take place on the border with Ukraine. This order was issued by Belarus’s self-proclaimed president, Alexander Lukashenko.
This was reported by the Belarusian television channel STV.
In July, Lukashenko’s administration stated that it would send “negligent workers who have committed offenses, slackers, drunkards, slackers, and idlers” to the Ministry of Defense to enforce “iron discipline” during the harvest.
Specialists and machine operators subject to military service are being sent to special operations units, where they undergo firearms, tactical, engineering, and medical training. After training, the participants are scheduled to be sent to the border with Ukraine to carry out training and combat missions.
These measures are being implemented in all regions of the country. After a week of training, these citizens can learn to operate a grenade launcher and a machine gun and then be assigned to special operations forces.
“Anyone who doesn’t know how to work—off to the army and to the southern border. Into the woods. Our guys—the special operations forces—are deployed along the Ukrainian border on my orders,” Lukashenko said.
As a reminder, the self-proclaimed president of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, stated on August 15 that Belarusians are “Russians with a seal of quality.”
Lukashenko stated that Belarusian military personnel would not take part in the war against Ukraine.
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated that one should not be naive about Belarus’s role in Russia’s war against Ukraine. According to him, Minsk is under Moscow’s strong influence, and most of the Belarusian government’s decisions are effectively dictated by the Kremlin.
