Nearly half of Poles do not believe Poland will leave the EU after the 2027 elections

Nearly 46% of Poles consider the threat of Poland leaving the European Union after the 2027 parliamentary elections to be unrealistic.

This is according to the results of a SW Research poll conducted on March 25, 2026, commissioned by Onet.

Respondents were asked whether they consider the “Polexit” scenario—Poland’s exit from the EU after the 2027 elections—to be realistic.

  • 45.9% of respondents said they do not consider this realistic.
  • 29.9% considered Polexit a possibility.
  • 24.2% of respondents stated that they had no opinion on the matter.

The survey was conducted via online interviews and covered various segments of the population.

Earlier, the Polish government stated that it would continue implementing plans to create a national anti-drone system, even despite the president’s veto. The project involves creating a drone defense system using European Union loans.

Poland has decided to lower fuel taxes to curb rising prices. The government also plans to cap prices at gas stations. The decision is linked to rising oil prices due to the situation in the Middle East. Tusk announced this after a government meeting.
