In Mexico, Mexico News Daily published a satirical text in its El Jalapeño section about the alleged rapid growth of high-tech manufacturing, supposedly driven by artificial intelligence. At the beginning of the publication, the editorial staff explicitly states that all materials in the section are satire, not real news.
The plot about an algorithm-buyer
The text describes a fictional AI analytics platform that prepared a report on a boom in Mexican high-tech manufacturing. According to the satirical plot, the system had previously purchased 80% of its own hardware components from factories in the state of Jalisco. The authors play on a situation in which an algorithm uses Mexican-made equipment to analyze the purchase volumes of the same equipment.

The material also mentions server racks, high-density boards manufactured in the state of Querétaro, and the industrial corridor of central Mexico. In one episode, a researcher tries to instruct the program to check alternative supply chains, but it instead places an order for new server racks from Guadalajara.
Mention of exports
Within the satirical plot, the authors mention a report by the INEGI statistical agency on Mexico's record exports for July of US$81.4 billion. This figure is used as part of a fictional story about self-reinforcing demand for data center equipment. The publication also ironically notes that logistics managers supposedly only need to remind the program about the order-processing schedule at the end of the working week.
