Following the Russian Federation's attack, the Dutch Minister of Defense called for strengthening Ukraine

Dutch Defense Minister Dylan Yeşilgöz-Zegerius responded to Russia’s latest massive attack on Ukraine, emphasizing that peace can only be achieved by strengthening the Ukrainian state, not by making concessions to the aggressor.

In her statement, she described the consequences of the latest Russian strike as horrific and expressed her condolences to the victims.

“Putin’s atrocities know no bounds… Once again, there are many dead and wounded, including children. Peace can be achieved not by rewarding aggression, but by keeping Ukraine strong,” stated Dylan Yeşilgöz-Zegerus.

The statement by the head of the Dutch Ministry of Defense came amid yet another large-scale combined Russian attack on Ukrainian cities, which resulted in numerous casualties and the destruction of civilian infrastructure.

At the same time, the European Union’s top diplomat, Kaja Kallas, announced her intention to propose new EU sanctions against Russia in response to the massive shelling of the Ukrainian capital and other regions.

She posted the statement on her X account.

Kaja Kallas, the European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, responded to Russia’s massive combined missile and drone strike on Kyiv, stating her intention to propose a new package of sanctions against the aggressor state as early as today.
