Jordanian ministry launches digital AI spokesperson Farah
Jordan’s Ministry of Government Communications has launched an Instagram account for a digital spokesperson named Farah, created using artificial intelligence technologies. The virtual character is intended to provide citizens with information on issues of public importance in a simple and clear format.
Introduction on social media
In a video published by the ministry on the social network X, Farah introduced herself as a digital spokesperson in a colloquial dialect. The ministry said this was the first such experience in the region and the world.
As Asharq Al-Awsat reports, Farah has already begun appearing on social media as part of the authorities’ efforts to use modern technologies to communicate with citizens. According to the Jordan News Agency Petra, the project is intended to help answer questions and appeals concerning topics of public interest.

A supplement to conventional channels
The digital spokesperson will distribute content adapted for users of social platforms in an accessible form. She is designed as a supplement to traditional channels for disseminating official information and news.
