In Cyprus, woman detained twice on suspicion of violating court ban

In Peyia, Cyprus, police on Wednesday detained a 48-year-old woman twice within a few hours on suspicion of violating a court order that prohibited her from entering a certain premises. This was reported by Cyprus Mail.

Two detentions in one evening

Police first detained the woman at around 5:20 p.m. She was subsequently released. At around 8:20 p.m., she returned to the same premises, after which she was detained for a second time in connection with the alleged violation of the court order. The interval between the two detentions was about three hours.

The case will be heard by a court

According to the publication, the premises had previously been managed by the 48-year-old woman, but are now managed by another person. The court order concerned the woman's access to the premises.

The woman is due to appear in court on Thursday. She is expected to be charged with failing to comply with the court order.
