The German-Israeli JOKER maritime drone was unveiled at a NATO exercise
The German-Israeli company Flensburg Technology Systems demonstrated its unmanned surface vessel, the JOKER, for the first time during the NATO REPMUS 2026 international exercise in Portugal. The compact, modular drone is designed to carry out precision strikes, perform defensive missions, and conduct maritime reconnaissance.
The vehicle is capable of operating under direct operator control or in fully autonomous mode, as well as in a swarm to overwhelm enemy defense systems.

The JOKER can stand by for a target in a designated area, detect and engage moving and stationary objects, and, in strike mode, act as a kamikaze drone. Launch is possible from the shore, carrier ships, or other maritime platforms, with the capability to interact with unmanned aerial vehicles and missile systems; though the manufacturer has so far refrained from disclosing data on speed, range, and warhead weight.
This was reported by Flensburg Technology Systems.
A Ukrainian unmanned surface vehicle, the Sargan-3000, destroyed a Russian kamikaze drone in the Black Sea. The interception took place on September 12 after representatives of Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate detected a Russian unmanned surface vehicle and directed a drone from the Ukrainian Navy toward it.
The Ukrainian Navy reported the destruction of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) border patrol vessel “Izumrud” near Novorossiysk. According to military officials, the strike on the vessel was carried out using the Sargan-3000 system.
