According to ECNS, a giant flower basket was unveiled in Tiananmen Square in Beijing, China, on September 22, ahead of the National Day holiday. The composition is themed “Blessings to the Motherland.”
Flowers and fruit
The basket was decorated with flowers and fruit, including roses, peonies, sunflowers and grapes. According to the outlet, the flowers and fruit symbolize blooming flowers and a bountiful harvest.
The inscriptions “Blessings to the Motherland” and “Celebrating National Day” were placed on the two sides of the structure.

Beijing’s floral decorations
Work on a large flower bed at the base of the basket is ongoing. It is expected to be completed around Friday.
Ten three-dimensional themed flower beds are also being built along Chang’an Avenue, between Jianguomen and Fuxingmen. They are planned to be unveiled by the end of September to welcome the holiday.
