Amid a massive UAV attack, Russia blocked exits from Yaroslavl and traffic on the Moscow Ring Road
Authorities in the Yaroslavl Region of the Russian Federation have completely closed the highway leading from the regional center toward Moscow due to a large-scale attack by Ukrainian drones.
At the same time, similar emergency security measures and traffic restrictions were reported directly on the Russian capital’s ring road.
A Russian official confirmed that a military operation was underway and urged drivers to avoid traveling on the specified route and in neighboring areas.
Traffic was completely blocked on a key section of the road, starting from the intersection of Moskovsky Prospekt and the Southwestern Ring Road.
The main reason for the urgent closure of key roads was the threat of new airstrikes.
The region is currently under attack by Ukrainian UAVs, the governor clarified in his statement, acknowledging the inability of local air defense units to quickly resolve the crisis.
Roadblocks were set up to minimize potential casualties among civilians and truck drivers in the event that debris from the weapons falls.
