In Toronto, Canada, a shooting involving several people occurred on Saturday evening during the annual Latin American festival “Salsa on St. Clair.” As a result of the incident, two people were killed at the scene, and six others sustained gunshot wounds of varying severity.
According to law enforcement officials, the shooting broke out around 8:12 p.m. local time, causing panic among the approximately 13,000 attendees at the event. Two firearms were recovered at the scene, but no arrests have been made so far, and the investigation is ongoing.
Toronto Deputy Police Chief Francisco Barredo stated that law enforcement officers are working in three separate areas near the scene of the incident.
