14 settler attacks reported in West Bank — Anadolu Agency

At least 14 attacks were recorded on Saturday evening in the occupied West Bank in Palestine, which, according to the Palestinian Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission, were carried out by Israeli settlers. As reported by Anadolu Agency, the incidents occurred in the Ramallah and Al-Bireh, Hebron, Nablus and Bethlehem governorates.

The commission reported six cases in the Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorate, three each in the Hebron and Nablus governorates, and two in Bethlehem. The Palestinian body links these actions to Israeli settlers.

Shooting and livestock theft

According to the commission, in the village of Al-Mughayyir, settlers fired toward Palestinian homes, used pepper spray against local residents and damaged an ambulance. They also allegedly attacked a Palestinian and stole an olive harvest.

In the Al-Hayyan area near Deir Dibwan, approximately 300 sheep were taken, according to the commission. In the Nablus area, settlers allegedly walked between homes in the town of Al-Lubban ash-Sharqiya and also stole equipment from a plot of land belonging to the village of An-Naqura.

Water pipeline damaged in the Yatta area

In the Yatta area of the Hebron governorate, settlers cut the main water pipeline supplying the village of Ad-Duqayqah, the commission said. By its estimate, around 700 Palestinians were left without water supply. In the same area, an agricultural facility was reportedly set on fire.

The commission also reported an attack on a family in Khallat al-Hummus in Hebron. They were allegedly forced to move a tent erected over the ruins of a demolished house. In Bethlehem, according to these reports, settlers chased shepherds in the village of Za'atara, released livestock onto Palestinian land and gathered near homes in the Wadi Abu Njme area.

According to the commission's calculations, 628 attacks were recorded in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, in August, which it links to Israeli settlers.
