Laura Lumer, a blogger close to Trump, called on the U.S. to provide Ukraine with more Patriot missiles
American blogger Laura Lumer, who is considered to be close to U.S. President Donald Trump, has called on Washington to provide Ukraine with more missiles for its Patriot systems. According to her, after spending several days in Ukraine, she saw the consequences of Russian strikes with her own eyes and became convinced that these systems save the lives of civilians.
American blogger Laura Loomer, whom U.S. media often describe as close to U.S. President Donald Trump, has spoken out in favor of increasing military aid to Ukraine. After her trip to Ukraine, she stated that Washington should provide more missiles for the Patriot air defense systems.
According to the blogger, during her stay in Ukraine, she had to take shelter multiple times due to Russian ballistic missile attacks. She also witnessed the aftermath of the shelling, including damage to facilities owned by American companies. “After I myself ran to a bomb shelter in Ukraine several times due to Russian ballistic missile launches, after I was woken up by air raid sirens almost every night, and after seeing the destruction of American businesses in Ukraine, I believe the United States should provide Ukraine with more Patriot missiles,” she wrote.
Lumer emphasized that the Patriot systems are intended solely for defensive purposes. According to her, they help shoot down Russian ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as attack drones targeting Ukrainian cities, energy facilities, and civilian infrastructure. “They save lives, protect critical infrastructure, and force Russia to waste expensive munitions with minimal effect. At the same time, they do not give Ukraine the ability to strike Russian territory and do not put American troops at risk,” the blogger noted.
In her view, supporting Ukraine also directly serves the interests of the United States itself. Lumer also touched on the topic of cooperation between Russia and Iran. Citing Ukrainian intelligence data, she stated that Moscow is allegedly passing intelligence information to Tehran, including satellite imagery and data on potential targets, which may include U.S. military facilities in the Middle East.
According to the blogger, such cooperation between Russia and Iran poses a threat not only to Ukraine but also to U.S. military personnel. “Russia is doing this while Iran is actively planning the assassination of President Trump and other Americans who support strikes against the IRGC,” she wrote.
Lumer also expressed hope that the U.S. administration would reconsider its position on supplying Patriot missiles to Ukraine. “I hope Ukraine will be provided with Patriot missiles. I never thought I’d say this, but I sincerely believe it’s urgent and necessary,” she emphasized. At the end of her post, the blogger tagged U.S. President Donald Trump and the Pentagon, urging them to prevent the further spread of Russian aggression.
At the same time, it is worth noting that Laura Lumer’s statement represents her personal opinion. She does not represent the U.S. administration, and there have been no official statements from the White House or the Pentagon regarding a possible increase in Patriot missile deliveries following this appeal.
