Air raid alerts were issued twice in one day in Romania

In Tulcea County, located on the border with Ukraine, an air raid alert was sounded twice on July 27 due to the threat of falling aerial objects. This was reported by the Romanian Ministry of Defense.

According to the country’s defense ministry, the alerts were triggered by a group of aerial targets maneuvering near the Ukrainian-Romanian border. The second alert lasted from 4:00 p.m. to 4:46 p.m. local time. No incidents of Romanian airspace violations or falling debris were recorded.

Romania spent €1.5 million to shoot down three Russian drones.

As a reminder, the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the ambassador of the Russian Federation, the aggressor state, due to repeated violations of the country’s airspace by drones. This occurred after Romanian fighter jets shot down the third drone in the last three days that had violated Romania’s airspace.

Moldova condemned Russia’s violation of Romania’s airspace.
