Video: Turkey Sent Firefighting Aircraft to Help Spain and France
Turkey has sent four specialized aircraft to Spain and France to help fight forest fires. This was announced by the country’s Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Ibrahim Yumakli.
According to him, two aircraft are already operating in Spain, while the other two have been dispatched to France at the request of the French authorities. He noted that Turkey is using its experience and technical capabilities not only to protect its own forests but also to assist other countries.
French President Emmanuel Macron thanked Turkey for its support by posting a message to that effect on social media.

Currently, the most critical situation regarding wildfires is in Spain, where approximately 90,000 people in the Madrid area have been evacuated or restricted in their movements due to the fires. Only over the past 24 hours has the situation begun to improve.

Video: France has acknowledged that it will not be able to extinguish the wildfires near Bordeaux until fall.
More than 300,000 people have been evacuated in France and Spain due to massive wildfires that have engulfed regions of Southern Europe. In southwestern France, in the Gironde region, more than 220,000 residents have left their homes. The fire there has spread across approximately 32,700 hectares.
As a reminder, French passengers who purchased train tickets to the region around Bordeaux will be able to exchange or refund them free of charge. This decision was made due to the large-scale wildfires that have complicated the situation in the area.
