Germany to Increase Funding for Ukraine's Nuclear Safety by €1 Million — dpa
Germany will allocate an additional €1 million to strengthen nuclear safety in Ukraine and support the IAEA’s work at Ukrainian nuclear facilities.
It is reported that Parliamentary State Secretary Rita Schwarzelür-Zutter is set to announce this funding on Tuesday at a conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna.
Germany has already allocated 7.3 million euros to support the IAEA’s presence in Ukraine.
Schwarzellür-Zutter is also expected to call for increased international support for efforts to restore the protective structure at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, which was damaged in early 2025.
This was reported by the dpa news agency, citing the German Ministry of the Environment.
Ukraine will receive $841 million from the World Bank for pensions.
