Ningxia exported 3,304 head of cattle to Uzbekistan since the start of the year — ECNS
China’s Ningxia Autonomous Region has exported 3,304 head of cattle to Uzbekistan since the beginning of 2026. This was reported by ECNS, citing Yinchuan Customs.
Breeding cattle
In November 2025, Holstein dairy cows from Ningxia entered the Uzbek market for the first time. In 2026, the region exported Simmental beef cattle to Uzbekistan for the first time.
Ningxia has large-scale livestock farming systems. The region raises Simmental cattle, which are known for rapid growth and adaptability, as well as high-yield Holstein dairy cows. These breeds are expected to help meet Uzbekistan’s demand for high-quality breeding stock.

Supply control
The number of companies interested in trading live cattle has increased from one to 13. Live cattle exports have become a new growth area for Ningxia’s foreign trade.
Yinchuan Customs and other authorities are coordinating quality control to ensure exports comply with Uzbekistan’s quarantine requirements and market access conditions. The report also notes that goji berries and dairy products from Ningxia are in demand on international markets.
