A Norwegian government agency has been fending off a massive cyberattack for the third day in a row
The Norwegian Agency for Digitalization has been under a large-scale cyberattack for three days now, which is being described as one of the largest in the country in recent months. Cybersecurity experts are working to restore stable system operations and identify the source of the attack.
The cyberattack on the Norwegian Agency for Digitalization began on the night of August 24. As a result of this attack, users are having trouble logging into dozens of government services, such as ID-porten, MinID, Altinn, and E-innsyn.
“As of Wednesday morning, the situation is as follows: the attack is still ongoing, but the solutions are already in place and functioning stably. However, we continue to work on mitigating the consequences,” said Agency spokesperson Are Kvistad.
This is the third and most severe attack the Agency for Digitalization has faced in the past nine weeks.

As a reminder, a candidate in Russia was disqualified from the State Duma elections due to the use of stolen Microsoft fonts.
Earlier, a Moscow court banned the Yabloko party from participating in the parliamentary elections.
Yabloko could have garnered up to 20% of the vote in the State Duma elections.
