Ukraine's new ambassador has begun his duties in Italy
Ihor Brusylo, Ukraine’s new ambassador to Italy, has officially begun his diplomatic mission. On Friday, June 19, he presented his credentials to Italian President Sergio Mattarella and subsequently assumed his duties.
The ambassador thanked Italy and the Italian people “for their sincere solidarity, consistent support for Ukraine, and comprehensive assistance from the very first days of the full-scale Russian invasion.”
“Together with my colleagues at the Ukrainian Embassy in Italy, we will continue to develop comprehensive cooperation between our countries and strengthen the friendly ties between our peoples so that lasting peace and guaranteed security may return to Europe,” he added on his X account.
