UN and Aid Groups Mobilize Massive Relief Operation for Gaza Under Cease-Fire

Following the cease-fire agreement between Israel and Hamas, the United Nations and international aid organizations are preparing a large-scale humanitarian effort to deliver relief to Gaza. The plan calls for hundreds of trucks entering the territory daily with food, medicine, and fuel for civilians.

UN officials said that over two million residents of Gaza face severe shortages of food, clean water, and healthcare. More than 180,000 tons of aid supplies, including essential materials for hospitals and shelters, are already being mobilized.
The reopening of the Rafah border crossing with Egypt will enable the delivery of crucial resources to rebuild Gaza’s devastated infrastructure. However, Israeli restrictions and ongoing fuel shortages continue to hinder aid operations.
