Trump announced positive news regarding Iran
U.S. President Donald Trump stated that negotiations with Iran are progressing well. According to him, “something very positive will happen” in the near future. He also claims that Tehran is ready to abandon its nuclear weapons program. This was reported by CNN.
Trump noted that the parties are engaged in “very constructive negotiations” and that tangible progress has already been made. According to him, Iran’s position has changed. “Iran wants to make a deal, and we are having very constructive negotiations with them. We must not allow nuclear weapons to emerge,” he said.
The president emphasized that Iran is now allegedly ready to make concessions that it would not have agreed to just a few months ago. “Today they are ready to do things they didn’t want to do two months ago,” Trump added.
Separately, he stated that Tehran has agreed not to possess nuclear weapons. “Everything looks very good, and we are going to make a deal with Iran. It will be a good deal. It will be a deal without nuclear weapons,” the U.S. president emphasized.
He also reported that the next round of negotiations could take place as early as this coming weekend. According to him, the meeting will likely take the form of face-to-face talks. Details of the future agreement have not yet been disclosed. But Trump’s rhetoric suggests that the parties may be approaching the final stage of negotiations.
