Pakistan is deploying its troops to defend Saudi Arabia
Pakistani military units, along with air forces, have arrived at King Abdulaziz Air Base in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia under the Strategic Mutual Defense Agreement.
This was reported by AlArabiya, citing an official statement from the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Defense.
The deployed forces include fighter jets and support aircraft, aimed at enhancing operational readiness and strengthening military coordination between the countries. The deployment comes amid escalating tensions in the region and actions by Russia, which are prompting the states to strengthen collective security. According to an agreement signed in September 2025, an attack on one of these countries is considered an act of aggression against both parties. The issue of regional stability remains a priority for both states as they deepen their strategic partnership.
Peace talks between the U.S. and Iran, which lasted 21 hours in Islamabad, ended without results.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Bakai stated that significant differences on several strategic issues prevented the conclusion of an agreement with the United States in Islamabad.
