The Dutch Parliament has begun debates on the war in Ukraine
On the evening of March 24, 2026, the Dutch House of Representatives began a debate on the situation in Ukraine four years after Russia’s full-scale invasion.

Lawmakers are analyzing the current course of military operations, as well as the consequences of Russian aggression for the security of Europe and the Netherlands. Prime Minister Rob Jetten, Foreign Minister Tom Berendsen, Defense Minister Dylan Yesilgöz, and Ukrainian Ambassador Andriy Kostin are participating in the session.
Parliamentarians are discussing further steps to provide support to Ukraine and strengthen joint defense amid ongoing hostilities. The discussion began around 6:00 p.m. local time and covers strategic issues regarding the response to threats from Russia. It is expected that the results of the debate will determine the priorities for assistance to Kyiv in the coming period to counter the aggressor’s military expansion.
During a meeting in Kyiv on March 8 with the new Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Rob Jetten, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy highlighted the critical need for radar systems.
Earlier, the Netherlands transferred three Patriot air defense missile launchers to Ukraine.
