PAM wins most seats in Morocco’s elections — Anadolu Agency
In Morocco, the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) won the most seats in the parliamentary elections, securing 97 mandates. Anadolu Agency reported on the results announced by the country’s Interior Ministry.
Distribution of seats
The National Rally of Independents (RNI) came in second, winning 66 seats. The Istiqlal Party secured 65 mandates in the House of Representatives.
The Justice and Development Party (PJD) came fourth, winning 54 seats. The Interior Ministry also reported that nationwide voter turnout was 38%.

Composition of the House of Representatives
The election results determine the composition of Morocco’s House of Representatives, which includes 395 deputies. PAM, RNI, Istiqlal and PJD became the four parties with the largest number of seats under the announced results.
Under Morocco’s constitutional system, the king appoints the head of government from the party that wins the largest number of seats. According to the voting results, that party was PAM.
